2023

THE BEGINNING

House of Plains began in August 2023 with a single oversized T-shirt, made in unbrushed French terry and offered in five colours. Fifty units were packed by hand in pizza-style boxes, each with a handwritten note and sticker, then launched at an intimate gathering at Arthur's Mini Super. Friends, family, music and drinks filled the room - and every T-shirt sold.

The success made the idea of building a brand feel real. But the rushed restock that followed became the first major lesson: the fit was wrong, the fabric had changed and nearly all available capital was tied up in garments that could not be sold with confidence. Plains went quiet and made a decision that still defines the brand: never cut corners, and never release anything that does not meet the standard.

2024

FINDING OUR IDENTITY

After months of rebuilding, Plains returned with the Core Collection: a complete wardrobe of T-shirts, hoodies, long sleeves, trousers, shorts, caps and beanies. The collection introduced a new manufacturer, imported fabrics and an understated approach with no visible branding. It also brought the first professional campaign and the first public pop-up, hosted at Aperitif.

Later that year, the Spring/Summer 25 collection expanded the world of Plains with printed T-shirts, shirts, track pants, track shorts and new caps. The campaign paired e-commerce imagery with a lifestyle shoot, while a November launch at the local artisans market introduced the brand to a wider audience. Monthly markets became a place to listen, learn and build a community beyond the original circle of support.

2025

RAISING THE STANDARD

Customer feedback made the next priority clear: return to the best sellers and improve every part of them. Plains sourced better fabrics overseas, committed to more expensive production runs and rebuilt key pieces around stronger quality and construction. The process took months and slowed the brand's momentum, but it established the production standard required for the future.

A planned winter capsule brought another lesson in timing and control. Using local fabrics was intended to accelerate production, but delays pushed the release into August and reframed it as a spring capsule. Despite the challenges, the hoodies, waffle long sleeve and caps arrived at the Level expected. A sharper, cleaner and moodier visual direction emerged, while monthly markets and online sales kept the brand connected to the people wearing it.

2026

BUILDING MOMENTUM

In 2026, Plains shifted from slow and reactive to faster, steadier and more proactive. January's Summer Tee capsule brought a burst of bright colour and fresh energy; the limited run sold faster than it could be announced. It marked the beginning of a more consistent rhythm built around relevance, reliability and regular moments of connection.

In April, CHIMI hosted the first event of the year: an intimate launch for new caps, shared with loyal customers and friends through music, drinks and celebration. June's AW26 collection arrived two years after Core, carrying forward everything learned about product, image and delivery. The aim is no longer simply to make the next collection - it is to build trust, create momentum and establish Plains for the long term.
